〈THE SUITE powered by 8〉은 나이키가 에어맥스 Dn8 출시를 기념해 호텔 치커리에서 선보인 팝업 프로젝트입니다. 나이키 멤버라면 누구나 방문해 관람할 수 있었습니다.
팝업은 호텔 치커리 1~3층을 카페, 칵테일 바, 아트 갤러리로 꾸몄습니다. 아티스트가 에어맥스 Dn8을 재해석한 작품을 관람할 수 있는 'The Creator's Suite' 그리고 에어맥스 Dn8에 영감을 받아 만든 디너 세션 'The Chef's Suite' 를 통해 다양한 감각을 자극하는 프로그램들을 제공했습니다.
어나더선데이는 본 행사에 아티스트 팀노드(@team_node)가 선보인 인터렉티브 설치 작품 ‘UNREAL BOX‘를 위해 콘솔을 제작하였습니다. ‘UNREAL BOX’는 Air Max Dn8의 핵심 요소인 8개의 에어 유닛에서 영감을 받아, 관람객이 음악과 비주얼을 마치 게임처럼 직접 조작하며 체험할 수 있도록 설계된 작품입니다. 어나더선데이는 콘솔에서 발생하는 스위치, 레버, 마이크의 데이터를 파싱∙전달하여 작품의 주요 소스로 사용될 수 있도록 지원했습니다.
〈THE SUITE powered by 8〉 was a pop-up project presented by Nike at Hotel Chicory to celebrate the launch of the Air Max Dn8.
The event was open to all Nike members, who could freely visit and explore the space.
The pop-up transformed three floors of Hotel Chicory into a café, cocktail bar, and art gallery.
Guests could experience a range of sensory programs, including ‘The Creator’s Suite,’ where artists showcased works inspired by the Air Max Dn8, and ‘The Chef’s Suite,’ a dinner session also drawn from the Dn8’s concept.
For this project, Another Sunday created the console for the interactive installation ‘UNREAL BOX,’ presented by the artist collective team_node.
‘UNREAL BOX’ was inspired by the Air Max Dn8’s signature feature — its eight air units — and designed to let visitors manipulate music and visuals much like a game.
Another Sunday built a system that parses and transmits data from switches, levers, and microphones on the console, providing essential input that powered the experience.
